What car excels in ice, mud and snow conditions?

I plan to go to Alaska and I wondered this car would make the best up there. It is just me alone and I think geting a Jeep Wrangler and Compass I prefer American cars did, but I am open to Japanese cars. German cars are good but too expensive for me to maintain

top choice all GMC / Chevrolet Pickup (4x4 or course). A GM thing is built to last of their trucks. I love them! Jeep Grand Cherokee (laredo sport or limited edition) Everyone I know who owns one says they would not buy anything. Get a 4x4 if you can. In addition, the ground clearance is excellent for both off-road driving in the snow and ice, and conduct regular street. Great buy and you do not pay much for one. A more recent and more to achieve both great gas mileage! BMW is great, but they are expesive to fix if something happens. not to mention the high insurance premiums because of the high cost for repair. Other than that, they are great cars. The new or old Ford F-150. They are also good cars and you can get parts for almost anywhere, like GM. In addition, like GM, Ford trucks are built for abuse and maintain their own good.
