Hexagon Screw

i want to clean my carb on a cr 125 1996 but i been told to clean the needle?
but i dont know much about this wat is the needle, is it a hexagon screw in the centre of the carb
needle is under float or above float... float pin pulls out easy and needle is clip on float tip is rubber and wears out then carb wil flood
