Describe the household of the Prince / ess in England and France monarchist different from the royal house?

Can anyone describe the past) the differences (household Princes and Princesses granted the right to a separate household of the royal house and that "households" (As in groups of authorized personnel specifically for them) Princes and Princesses in the past were like? Maybe even today? I understand they have their own household who was paid by the State or the Treasury and Royal. Yes, today again, the queen and the rest have private and public in general a chapel on their land with a resident priest or minister, almost always of the Church of England (Anglican Church). This is where, when they "retire" at Balmoral (Scotland) they go to services on Sunday and when they head to one of the other palaces they still services out there. Unlike England and France was France was mostly less traditional. France had "loose" a lot of rights, where almost everyone was related to someone else by marriage or blood (even if the fourth cousin perhaps).
