Univ. of Phoenix is improving and raising ACADEMIC STANDARDS??? Any thoughts?

Look at the following clip of University of Phoenix seems to be working really hard to increase academic standards and the regor of their program. 1) The B.A./BS entry requirements are a 2.5 2). Corporate alliances and international partnerships have been established between students, alumni, corporate sector and other universities 3). UoP have established brick and mortar campuses accross the country & a football team. 4). Other universities that have previously not accepted UoP credits are now accepting them.

1. Do you think that such initatives can or will enhance the image of UoP?
2. Do you think employers will still be catious of prospective candidates from this school?
3. What else do you think would be necessary to make the school more credible?

Are you being paid by U of P? Because everything you say is just as big a load of crap as a degree from U of P.

This is a For Profit corporation that has no admissions standards. This is the school that Intel refuses to pay its employees to attend because it lacks rigor. Many employers just toss resumes from graduates of this "school."

To answer your questions:

1. No -- because they are lies
2. Yes -- because the school has no standards.
3. Become a nonprofit school, hire full time faculty with PhDs, reject students who are not qualified, and teach actual content.
4. You should be ashamed of yourself.
