How do developing countries like Africa reduce its birth rate?

I have this geography question which i have to write about 200 words long. The question is how do countries like Africa reduces its birth rate.

I think that you should change the country to china as their population is the highest in the world, also there is more history and interesting (although some horrible) facts about this topic. Africa is a not a great choice to choose as the AIDS crisis is decreasing birth survival rate etc... Look up china's history on minimizing birth rate and the policies that they have now. It shouldn't be too hard to find. Just 'google' it. You could suggest policies like government incentives, increase in education of birth control methods, increase in government funding of birth control methods, education of the higher cost of having children. 200 words is not even a page so it shouldn't be too hard. Try to integrate into your assignment about how the policies that are put in place will benefit the country, economy and the importance of humanitarian methods to achieve this goal, why there is a high birth rate: e.g. children are considered a source of income/benefit/pride for families in a particular culture and look try to explain why the reduction in birth rate is important.
