German Jagdtiger

Posted on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in Model Tanks

Which battle tank would win in a stand off German Jagdtiger very elderly or the M1 Abrams?

it would be at a distance and I know the Jagdtiger has more armor and penetration is unbelievable with its 128mm. The M1 has less armor but it can shoot faster and go faster. But again at a distance would not really matter. I would say Jagdtiger

Sorry, you're wrong. The M1 armor much better than the old Jagdtiger, is an order of magnitude more manueverable and a weapon system more efficient. The M1 Jagdtiger can kill at any distance at which he can see it - without having to stop. Jagdtiger could probably only achieve a kill of a sudden flank or rear of the nearest This will never happen. As in most of these "time-out" the old scenario simply does not stand a chance. Jagdtiger The same was not that good when it was new. As for the "penetration incredible" years Jagdtiger 12.8cm KwK 44 firearms was credited the ability to penetrate 200 mm of FHA at an angle of 60 degrees at 2000 meters range. Impressive in 1945 maybe, but not enough to achieve a penetration front on Abrams. The M1's armor has been designed to provide a high degree of protection against the selection tests fired by the Soviet 125 mm tank gun could penetrate armor plate 250-300 mm, with more modern munitions effectively double that. By comparison, the M1 120mm cannon firing M256 M829 APFSDS-T round the old penetrate 540 mm of RHA at 2,000 meters. Jagdtiger a 150 mm thick armor plate on the classic glaze and 250 mm thick at the front of the bunker. In essence, it is less well protected than the T-72 M1 that were blowing from the desert with ease as early as 1991 (200 mm glacis, 400 mm forward of the turret).
